Responsible for all functions associated with the database management and support: Install, design, implementation and maintenance of SQL Server databases including security, back-up, logging, reporting, trouble shooting, and recovery procedures
Able to tune complex application SQL queries with multi level joins. Some queries created by code generator software.
Work closely with Java developers for object designs and troubleshooting.
Work closely with other DBA team members to manage all technical aspects of database management and process tuning.
Manage User access and auditing.
Assist in maintaining and improving database operational efficiency
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly data maintenance tasks
Assist in developing feeds to Data Warehouse and Marts
Ensure data can be provided to support OLAP reports and various reporting requirements
Manage setup configurations
Test various internal applications, commercial apps, and DR testing.

Assist in data management processes
Collaborate with the development team in creating and following a well defined methodology to implement changes to database systems.
Responsible for analysis, design, implementation, project management, and maintenance of the logical and physical databases.
Involved in normalizing, data modeling, transformations, mapping and mining.
Performs activities related to database administration such as, access methods/time, device allocation, quality control, data validation checks, security, and documentation.
Provide analytical support during design and troubleshooting review sessions.

Requirements & Experience
·Must have good communication and written skills.

·Will require 40 to 50 hrs per week with occasional weekend and off-hours support.
·Experience with SQL Server Integration Services and Reporting Services.
·Experience with MS Access interface to SQL Server DBs.
·Must be self starter, able to work independently.
Minimum 3 to 5 years hands-on experience with SQL Server database administration and management with Microsoft SQL Server (2000, 2005, 2008)
Minimum 3 to 5 years hands-on operational experience with strong understanding of database structure, theories, principals and practices
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience with performance tuning complex queries in Microsoft SQL Server (2000, 2005, 2008).
·Must have experience with UNIX scripting
Experience with MS SQL Clustering Technologies
Experience developing, implementing, and testing disaster recovery strategies.
Experience creating and maintaining an extraction, transformation, and loading process from source systems or files into a data warehouse.
Ability to plan, organize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously
