Al Kawakibi Democracy Transition Center was officially founded in Amman, Jordan on June 15, 2006, following the first meeting of the center's Board of Trustees under the chairmanship of HRH the Prince Al Hassan Ibn Tallal and after two years of consideration and deliberation, with the contribution of a large number of experts and democracy advocates. The Center works on the determination of its scope of work and its activities which consist in the following: Organize specialized workshops. Implement projects and programs to provide expertise in the area of democratic transition. Organize summer schools, conferences, forums and workshops. Conduct specialized studies and researches.
